School Visits
We welcome visits to our local school. The children love seeing visitors and the staff love to get to show the world about the learning process here in Zimbabwe.
SCHOOL TOURS FROM ONLY $20 PER PERSON
Manase School is a typical Zimbabwean school and when you visit you can see our students learning about both local and global issues.
As you would expect, schools in Zimbabwe are very short on equipment so you might like to bring some pencils or pens, or even some deflated footballs and a pump for the more sporting children.
Our principle will guide you through the school explaining every process.

School Visits
School visits can be arranged in the morning or afternoon. This is dependent on the day of the week and what age range of student you might like to see.
During your school visit you will:
- meet the school principle
- meet some of the teachers and be able to talk to them about what and how they teach
- meet some of the students and participate in a class if you so desire.
- get to see the school and the facilities we have
- learn about how Zimbabwean children are educated
A Note Here:
Please don't bring candy or lollies for the children. Dental care is not affordable in Zimbabwe so if you wish to bring something for the children, pens, pencils, coloring-in books, story books, note pads or sporting equipment would be very appreciated.
We understand its hard to bring larger things with you if you are flying into Zimbabwe, however consider bringing a football that is deflated and a pump. You never know where the next Ronaldo may come from. Imagine if it was Chimanimani and it started with your football!

If you would like to combine your school visit with a cooking class or a cultural village tour, please let me know and I can arrange a full day where we experience everything on your list. (where possible of course)
Other Expenses
While we can walk to the school it's not a 5 minute stroll so a car is a good idea.
We can use your car if you have one or I can arrange a car for us. Depending on how long and where we go that will range from $40 - $70
($70 would be a full day)

What To Bring
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Your camera
- Good size water bottle
- Any stationary or sporting goods you might have for the school
- Sunscreen and a hat if its a warm day
