Start Your Zimbabwe Adventure Here!

Hi! I'm Collen

Chimanimani is located in the province of Manicaland in eastern Zimbabwe.

Chimanimani's national park offers amazing hiking, bird watching and animal spotting along with amazing waterfalls and a local Eland Sanctuary. The quartzite ranges are accessible in about an hour from the village and I can take you on either a gentle walk up the mountains or an adventurous hike to the top of Mount Binga.

I'm a local to the area and have been guiding for 24 years so there isn't much I don't know about the area, the bird life, the nature and the locals.

Chimanimani was reasonably popular with world wide hikers about a decade ago, however with the drop in tourism to Zimbabwe you can now spend days hiking in Chimanimani National Park and see very few other hikers. Where else can you do that these days?

Schedule a visit to Zimbabwe and Chimanimani while it lasts.

Tourism Achievers Awards 2017!

I was very proud to collect the award for Achievement in Environmental Awareness and Action on behalf of myself and my amazing colleagues at Chimanimani Tourist Association. Thanks to all who work so hard with Chimanimani Tourist Association and it is great to know that our actions to prevent the illegal and mining activities in our beautiful National Park has received national (and we hope) international attention.

Preserving the national parks not only in the Chimanimani area, but in all Zimbabwe is essential in enabling us to regain our position as one of the premier nature and eco tourism locations in Zimbabwe. Protecting these national parks not only for tourism purposes but for the generations to come is our highest priority and this award will hopefully cast more light on what we are trying to achieve.
Hiking in Chimanimani mountains is a fantastic experience. Collen is so proud of his  home and it shows through in his desire for you to have the best time. He taught us about the local history, took us up to Skeleton Pass where you can stand on the Zimbabwe - Mozambique border, showed us holy water springs and of course made sure we stayed safe on our hikes up and around the mountains.
